Who remembers System Shock? If you do, you will know why an entire generation, including me, has a permanent distrust of AI because of the meat bags among them who have not played any of these games. If you think that the idea of being stuck on a boat with a completely crazy computer that really wants to do terrible things to you is a good time to read on.

Nightdive Studios has done something that some of us have been waiting for a long time. The intelligent souls there have decided to take the shock of the system and revise it a little. So we can turn something really scary with poor graphics (by today’s standards) into something Moderna and really scary. If you’ve played the original and are just having a stroke from the excitement, I suggest that you go to Steam, GOG or Epic Games Store as soon as you finish reading. USA. and if you get a copy early enough, you’ll get the upcoming System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition. This is a good reason not to wait if you just have a few dollars burning a hole in your pockets. The System Shock remake combines the gameplay of the legendary original game (from 1994, no less!) with completely new HD images, updated controls, a redesigned interface and completely new sound and music. In addition to all the charming fliers, you will also get a huge number of never-before-seen enemies, a revised hacking system and new visceral action options. He said that new ways to kill what needs to be killed involve a brutal dismemberment system. What will not be different is the fact that all the meanness is controlled by the completely psychotic rogue AI, better known as SHODAN. Older people will know this bag of bloodthirsty screws very well. Newcomers will get acquainted with them quickly enough. Believe me, I can tell you from my own experience that it is an absolute joy

As a player, you are in a quandary. You are trapped in the citadel with a computer that has gone to the bottom and a legion of completely hostile mutants who want to end their existence for you. You will have to navigate through the rooms of the station while met puzzles, traps and secrets in order to defeat SHODAN once and for all. You need a combination of stealth, intelligence and brute force if you want to turn off the computer. You will also need to hone your hacking skills if you want to open up new areas of the citadel to explore and eventually get to SHODAN

Those of you who are looking for an authentic experience will be pleased that the people of Nightdive have worked closely with the members of the team that made the original System Shock a success, including the iconic voice of SHODAN himself, Terri Brosius. This should help make the whole experience a real renovation for those of us who really love the original. Newcomers to this franchise will have a treat in store, as they have all the things that made us want to experience a remake for the first time ever

I think it’s important to note that fans of System Shock games who own consoles can continue to enjoy this new version of the series. You just have to wait a little longer. System Shock is coming to PS4 and 5 and Xbox Series S/X at some point in the future. We don’t have a date yet, but it’s worth keeping your eyes open for more information as soon as it arrives.
